Klyne Ryland Snodgrass (born December 28, ) is an American theologian and author, who served as professor of New Testament Studies at the North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois from to His publication Stories with Intent: A Comprehensive Guide to the Parables of Jesus[1] garnered a Christianity Today Book Award.[2]

Early life and education

Snodgrass grew up in Tennessee.[3] He earned his B.A.

from Columbia Bible College, his from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and his Ph.D. in from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, where he completed a dissertation on "The Christological Stone Testimonia in the New Testament."[4]

Career

Snodgrass taught at Georgetown College in Kentucky from to , when he joined the faculty of North Park Theological Seminary.
